Loretta Ciraldo, MD, FAAD is a renowned board-certified dermatologist with over 40 years of experience and is the founder and chief innovation officer of CosMedical Technologies. Dr. Ciraldo’s career started in 1975 in the Dermatology Department of Harvard Medical School, where she performed early testing on the effects of UVA on human skin and contributed to the development of the Fitzpatrick Skin Type Classification. She received her MD from Downstate Medical College of State University of New York and completed her dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where she was selected as Chief Resident. She was also Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York Medical College in New York City and Chief of Dermatology at the Bayley Seton Hospital.
From the start, in May of 1993, Dr. Ciraldo knew that CosMedical Technologies would be built from science, clinical research and hands-on experience. Therefore, as she founded and single-handedly spearheaded product development for every CosMedical product as she continued practicing dermatology. To this day, she continues to see patients in her thriving cosmetic dermatology practice all while innovating revolutionary products and sharing her skincare knowledge with CosMedial partners. This allows CosMedical to remain compelling by combining her clinical approach, her passion for helping patients feel their best, and her devotion for helping businesses become more successful. Dr. Ciraldo has served as the Director of Cosmetic Dermatology at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, President of the Miami Society for Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, and President of the Dade County Medical Association. She is an avid clinical researcher, published author, on-camera expert and successful entrepreneur who has formulated and developed all of CosMedical’s medical-grade skincare products.
Currently residing in Miami Beach, she is most proud of her family, her husband Dr. Robert Ciraldo, their four amazing children Gina, Daniel, Katrina and Liza and their wonderful grandchildren Siena and Luca.
