The #1 Skincare Service You Should Be Offering

Are you offering skincare services at your practice? If you aren’t, you might be missing out. National surveys show that non-invasive cosmetic procedures have become more popular than ever before — and peels are right at the top of the list.

These professional exfoliating treatments offer amazing skin-rejuvenating results that clients can’t get at home. In 2016, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that chemical peels ranked as the third most popular non-invasive procedure in the United States, outperformed only by Botox and dermal fillers.

They’re easier than you think.

The idea of a “chemical peel” can conjure up an intimidating image for some practitioners, but in fact, most of these treatments are extremely approachable for both the practitioner and the client.

Peels are classified into three grades based on intensity. The first two (superficial and medium) are actually quite simple and straightforward with little-to-no risk and minimal aftercare:

  • SUPERFICIAL - A “lunchtime” peel that exfoliates only the outer layer of skin. No recovery time needed. May cause mild temporary flaking, redness, or irritation.
  • MEDIUM - Treats both the outer layer and upper middle layer of skin. Skin will physically peel off the face for up to one week, but there should be no discomfort.
  • DEEP - A higher-risk, more aggressive procedure that penetrates into the lower layer of skin. Sometimes requires a sedative and/or local anesthetic, as it may cause swelling or discomfort. Healing can last weeks to months.

CosMedical Technologies offers both superficial and medium-grade professional-only peel products. Each comes with very detailed indications, instruction protocols, and practitioner training, making it easy to seamlessly incorporate them into your skincare services. Learn more about our peel protocols in our Training Manual, found in our Resource Center.

Highly beneficial for your practice.

Providing chemical peels and other skincare services can open the door to a variety of benefits that that will help you to...

Expand your customer base. The popularity of these easily-advertised services allows you to access a whole new market segment, bringing in clients you might not otherwise see.

Generate repeat business. Since peels are typically performed in a series of 4-6 treatments spaced weeks or months apart, these clients will keep coming back for multiple visits.

Build loyalty. Skincare services create more opportunities for face time with your clients, as well as higher levels of satisfaction.

Enhance your brand. Offering a wider range of professional skincare solutions adds to your credibility and marketability as a brand — especially when your name is on the peel products you’re using.

Drive private label product sales. Peels require additional products to cleanse, prepare, and care for clients’ skin pre- and post-treatment. Using your own custom-branded formulas gives clients a chance to become familiar with, and interested in, your skincare line.
