Our Story
After researching the effects of UVA on human skin and contributing to the creation of the Fitzpatrick Skin Type Classification, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Loretta Ciraldo founded CosMedical Technologies in May 1993. From the outset, Dr. Ciraldo made CosMedical’s mission to deliver skincare solutions that effectively treat skin and improve lives in the process, using proven science, clinical results and hands-on experience.
For nearly three decades, Dr. Ciraldo has formulated each of CosMedical’s products to meet the needs of skincare patients worldwide. She maintains an active dermatology practice in Miami, Florida, and loves to see her patients every week to understand their needs and continue to see how everyday factors impact our skin. Dr. Ciraldo uses her insights to develop and update formulas with the latest cutting-edge active ingredients backed by empirical research to most effectively treat skin.
With this philosophy and desire to understand and help patients worldwide, Dr. Ciraldo has created some of the most effective and loved skincare products on the market including Ultra Benefits®, a firming and brightening moisturizer; C-Stem®, a concentrated anti-aging serum; Vita Soothe, a protective replenishing serum; and Advanced Retinol, a wrinkle and skin tone corrector, to name just a few.
